KYLE – Sidney senior Grant Drummond is bringing home the bronze medal from the Class A Boys Golf State Tournament at Plum Creek Golf Course, which wrapped up its 36 holes and two days of play Tuesday.

Drummond started the event with a round of 77 Monday which landed him in third place, just two shots off the lead. On Tuesday, he posted a 79 for a 156 composite score – three strokes behind the championship pace.

Chester’s Will Thomason won the individual state championship with a 153 after rounds of 78 and 75, while Kenny Arnett of D’Hanis (75-79=154) was the silver medalist.

Also competing in the tournament was May’s Mikey Scheriger, who finished with a 190 composite score after rounds of 94 Monday and 96 Tuesday. Scheriger finished tied for 47th place as an individual.
