DUBLIN – The Texas Girls Coaches Association Class 3A No. 16 Early Lady Horns improved to 2-0 in District 8-3A action and 15-3-2 for the season with a 10-0 victory at Dublin Friday.

Teagan Lopez hurled a no-hitter, striking out 11 in six innings. The Early defense committed one error, which prevented a perfect game.

Offensively, the Lady Horns scored once in the first inning, four times in the fourth and ended the game with a five-run top of the sixth inning.

Highlighting Early’s 12-hit attack was Stoney Laughlin with three and two RBIs; Lopez with two and three RBIs; Jordan Simmons with a pair and two RBIs; Aubrey Greaves with two and one RBI; Grace LaRue with two; and Trinity Torrez with one hit and one RBI. Marissa Reedy contributed an RBI as well.

Early is back in action at 11 a.m. Tuesday against 8-3A rival Brock.
