Billy Lee, age 76, of Coleman, died Friday, July 22, 2022, at Hendrick Hospice in Abilene.

The family will host a time of visitation and reflection at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2022, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends are invited to stay for a funeral service celebrating his life at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2022, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Todd King, pastor at High Mesa Cowboy Church in Brownwood, officiating. A private interment will follow in the May Cemetery in Brown County. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

He was born Billy Dean Lee on February 1, 1946, in May, Texas to Barney Lee and Virginia Ruth Fisher Lee. Billy grew up in May and graduated from May High School. He worked for 3M in Brownwood for many years. Billy loved being outdoors and spending time with his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horses and roping. Billy especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in local rodeo and roping competitions. He was a man of simplicity, meaning he had all he needed and never asked for more. Billy was a loving father and family man. He will be missed.

Preceding Billy in death are his parents, Barney and Virginia Lee, and one sister, Wanda Stark.

He is survived by three children, Jeff Lee of Coleman, Wade Lee of Brownwood, and Stephanie Garner and husband Monte of Santa Anna; his grandchildren, Ta’ha Lee, Trent Lee, Hailey Garzon, Tatum Cantu, Aspyn Garner, and Creedyn Garner; two great-grandchildren, Sebastian Garzon and Emina Garzon; one sister, Betty Roberts of Brownwood; and one brother, Sonny Lee and wife Donna of Lake Brownwood.

Memorials are suggested in memory of Billy to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Remembrances and condolences can be written to the family via the virtual guestbook on Billy’s tribute page at www.stevensfuneralhome.com. Stevens Funeral Home is honored to serve the Lee family.
