Early, Bangs teams swept in 8-3A basketball action

EARLY – The No. 4 Peaster Lady Greyhounds picked up an 89-36 victory over the Early Lady Horns Tuesday night in District 8-3A girls basketball action Tuesday night.

Early (7-14, 5-7) received 16 points from Carrigan Norris, nine from Jordan Simmons, seven from Madison Torrez, and two each from Dana Lykes and Dakota Basksdale against Peaster (29-4, 12-0).

PEASTER 64, LONGHORNS 35

EARLY – The Early Longhorns dropped a 64-35 home decision to the Peaster Greyhounds in District 8-3A boys basketball action Tuesday night.

Early (19-10, 6-4) received 14 points from John Hill, nine from Vic Cooper, seven from Jaxyn Price, four from Korbin Barr and one point from Jeremy Brown against Peaster (21-7, 10-0).

BROCK 55, LADY DRAGONS 23

BANGS – The Bangs Lady Dragons slipped to 2-10 in District 8-3A action and 9-21 for the year with a 55-23 loss to Brock Tuesday night.

Maggie Morales led Bangs with 12 points against Brock (17-11, 9-3), trailed by Jacee Miller and Jadyn Miller with three each, and Neeley Bradley and Kasey Solis with two apiece.

BROCK 62, DRAGONS 43

BANGS – The Bangs Dragons fell to 0-10 in District 8-3A action and 3-15 for the season with a 62-43 loss to Brock (22-6, 9-1).
