GATESVILLE – The Brownwood Lady Lions scored their lone goal in the final minute, which allowed them to force a 1-1 tie with Robinson in their opening game at the Gatesville girls soccer tournament Friday night.

After Robinson took a 1-0 lead with 19 minutes left in regulation, Brownwood’s Ibis Alvarado scored off a free kick from 25 yards out to knot the score with 30 seconds remaining.

The Lady Lions (1-0-1) will resume tournament action at 11:45 a.m. Saturday against host Gatesville. Brownwood’s slated tournament game against Manor Tech on Saturday has been canceled.
