Brownwood High School Lady Lion Annie-Klein Allgood signed today to play softball at North Central Texas College.  Allgood will attend the NCTC campus in Gainesville, TX, and enroll in their two-year nursing program.

“I am really excited,” said Allgood.  “I am just very blessed to have this opportunity to keep going and playing softball at the higher level.  It’s just very exciting to get to study nursing at the same time.”

In softball, Allgood made the varsity as a freshman playing first base.  She moved to the pitching circle for her sophomore and junior years, and is expected to be the starting pitcher in her senior year in the spring of 2022.  A throw-right, bat-left dual threat, she batted .450 last year (her junior year) with 4 home runs and 26 runs batted in.  In the pitching circle she threw 116.1 innings over 20 starts, with 67 strike-outs and an earned run average of 4.633.
