Vickey Barnett

Vickey Barnett, age 71, of Coleman, died Thursday, October 14, 2021, at her residence.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside funeral service at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion with Bob Martin, pulpit minister at Elm Street Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

She was born Vickey Udora Barnett on April 19, 1950, in Coleman, a daughter of William Henry “Bill” Barnett and Geneva Wells Barnett. She grew up in Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School. Vickey enjoyed scrapbooking, cooking, and making ceramics. She was a life-long resident of Coleman and attended the Elm Street Church of Christ.

Vickey is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Geneva Barnett, and her daughter, Michelle Newman.

She is survived by her grandson, Riley Dakota Newman of Coleman; her brother, Steve Barnett and wife Tina of Bangs; and many extended family members.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.

The family would like to thank Hospice of the Big Country for their love and support to the Barnett family.
