Johnny Dean Scaff, age 65, of Brownwood, had to leave those of us who loved him on October 14th, 2021, due to injuries he suffered in a car/pedestrian accident.

A Memorial Service in Johnny’s honor will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Phillip Cochran officiating; private interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Johnny was born on July 26, 1956, to Edward James and Neva Rae (Cochran) Scaff in Brownwood, Texas at the old Medical Arts Hospital. Johnny was a lifelong resident of Brownwood and a lifelong fan of the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys.

To those of us left behind, we will cherish the memories of his laughter, as well as the playfulness that was his personality. The Cochran Cousin Reunion will never be the same without his usually late Grand Entrance!

Left behind to cherish Johnny’s memory are the love of his life, Karen; 2 children, Amy Scaff Cecil and significant other Chris of Brownwood, and Johnny Scaff, Jr. of Brownwood; his 3 grandchildren, Averi, Alden and Bailey; and siblings, Kerry and Richard Davis of Brownwood, Lisa and Billy Sawyer of Brownwood, Barry and Louise Scaff of Comfort. He is also survived by a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Neva Scaff.

Online condolences for the family are welcome at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.
