EARLY – The Early Lady Horns on Tuesday night were unable to keep pace with District 8-3A volleyball leader Peaster, who chalked up a straight-set road victory.

Early (13-17, 3-7) was led offensively by Taylor Summers with five kills, Jordan Simmons and Hadalee Saunders with three each, Bethany Tomlinson with two and Carrigan Norris with one.

Tomlinson also tallied 12 assists, but the Lady Horns did not record a service ace against Peaster (16-12, 10-0),

Defensively, Grace LaRue collected six digs followed by Tomlinson, Simmons and Norris with two each, and Summers, Saunders, Mattyson Boswell and Madison Torrez with one apiece.

Norris and Summers each tallied one block.

The Lady Horns are back in action at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bangs.
