Elisa Marie Stevens Chesser, age 64 of Zephyr passed away peacefully on Monday, September 13, 2021. A visitation will be held 6-8pm Friday, September 17th at Heartland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10am Saturday, September 18th at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow at the Democrat Cemetery.
Elisa was born Thursday, May 30, 1957 in Brownwood, TX to Mackie and Eugenia Stevens. Elisa was a graduate from Brownwood High School. She married James Neal Chesser on March 17, 1990 and began a life together. Elisa loved arts and crafts, and spending time with her family. Especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was raised in the Baptist Church after marriage she joined Lake Brownwood First United Methodist Church.
Elisa is survived by her husband James N. Chesser of Zephyr; son Brandon E. Ballard of San Angelo; daughter Courtney M. Neal and husband Syravun of Brownwood; mother Katy Stevens of Brownwood; 3 brothers, Gil Stevens of Zephyr, Justin Stevens and wife Gina of Burnett, Chris Schmidt and wife Leann of Leander; 2 sisters, Vanessa Tervooren and husband Doug of Brownwood, Dana Allen and husband Mike of Eula; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father Mackie Stevens and sister Pamela Boyd.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Democrat Cemetery Association.
