BCWID to Get Update on Water Plant Expansion / Generators

The Board of Directors of the Brown County Water Improvement District will meet Tuesday, July 13, at 4:00 pm at the Water District Office, 501 East Baker, in Brownwood. Their meeting agenda is below.

1.Call to Order
2.Pledge of Allegiance
3.Invocation

4. Approval of Minutes: meeting(s) held June 2021
5. Approval of claims and accounts
6. Approval of investment and financial reports

7. Citizens Presentations: Any citizen desiring to address the Board of Directors regarding a matter not included on agenda may do so at this time. The Board of Directors may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item. To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Board of Directors respectfully requests that prior to addressing the Board, each person submit a citizen’s presentation form located at the entrance lobby, stating your name, address and topic of presentation. All presentations are limited to five (5) minutes time limit.

8. Consider and take necessary action on the assignment of lease of Space 29 on McCartney Island to Debbie Zavondy until October of 2024.
9. Hear report from Freese & Nichols on the District’s 2018 Risk and Resilience Assessment.
10. Consider adoption of 2021-2022 fiscal year budget and set treated and untreated water rates.
11. Consider request from Jack Bolton to limit number of vehicles in Flat Rock Park.
12. Consider and take necessary action to revoke the exception granted to dock #7087 at the District’s July 9, 2019, board meeting regarding encapsulated foam.
13. Consider and take necessary action regarding grant funds issued to Brown County for water and sewer infrastructure.
14. Update on Freese & Nichols regarding possible water treatment plant expansion and generators.
15. Hear report from District’s Department Heads regarding monthly activities.
16. Consider and take necessary action regarding Zebra Mussels being found at Lake Brownwood.
17. Hear General Manager report regarding current events.
18. Adjournment.
