Brown County Sheriff’s Report

On Tuesday, April 27 at approximately 8:52 a.m. Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to N. Hwy 279, Brownwood. This was in reference to a theft report and investigation.

On Friday, April 30 at about 6:43 a.m. Deputy Byron Langley arrived at Sailboat Dr. in May. This was in regards to terroristic threat. Langley spoke to a victim who stated her son had threatened to kill her and her boyfriend.

On Friday, April 30 at 4:10 p.m. Deputy Carlyle James Gover arrived to FM 2525. This was in reference to a theft, which occurred earlier in the day. After further investigation, a report was made.

On Friday, April 30 Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of a Burglary. The complainant advised money had been stolen from a safe at her residence. A report was made.

On Saturday, May 1 at about 10:52 a.m. Deputy Byron Langley arrived at CR 355 in Blanket. This was in regards to an assault. Langley spoke to a complainant who stated his son had been assaulted by his friend at a party the previous night.

On Saturday, May 1 SO units were dispatched to Blarney, Brownwood. This was in reference to an unwanted person report and investigation.

On Saturday, May 1 at 7:58 p.m. Deputy Carlyle James Gover was traveling north bound on Highway 279. This is where an abandoned vehicle was observed, which was red tagged on April 22. The vehicle was towed, and a report was made.

On Saturday, May 1 Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of Theft. The complainant believed her neighbor was taking items from her property. A report was made.

On Sunday, May 2 at about 8:06 a.m. Deputy Byron Langley, arrived at Belfast Dr. in Brownwood. This was in regards to criminal mischief. Langley spoke to a victim who stated an unknown male kicked his front door this morning, and drove off in a grey Z-71 pickup.

On Sunday, May 2 at approximately 7:33 a.m. Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to CR 415, Cross Plains. This was in reference to a neighbor trespassing on the property.

On Sunday, May 2 at 12:09 a.m. Deputy Carlyle James Gover arrived at US 377. This was in reference to a theft, which occurred on the property while the property owners were not present. After further investigation, a report was made.
