Multiple fire departments from within Brown County were on the scene of a grass fire Wednesday afternoon on FM 3100 in the vicinity of Salt Creek Baptist Church.

The original call dispatched was a grass fire at 7525 FM 3100 that was threatening a home.

The fire grew and shifted with the wind, moving in the direction of Salt Creek Baptist Church and the Salt Creek Baptist Church cemetery.

At 3:20 p.m., all available water tanker and brush trucks from county fire departments were being summoned to the scene.

The fire burned a total of 35 acres.
