10 COVID deaths reported, total now 86

On Monday, Jan. 11, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 60 positive COVID-19 test results, 150 negative,  85 recoveries, and 10 deaths. Of the 60 positives, 26 were PCR, and 34 were antigen. There are currently 22 hospitalized in Brown County.

The 10 deaths recorded:

o    2 Males 70s from a nursing home

o    1 Male 80s from a nursing home

o    1 Female 50s not from a nursing home

o    1 Female 70s not from a nursing home

o    2 Females 80s not from a nursing home

o    2 Females 80s from a nursing home

o    1 Female 90s from a nursing home

COVID-19 Vaccinations: Brown County currently shows 706 people vaccinated with 1st dose,14 people vaccinated with both doses. 31,586 is the estimated population eligible for vaccination.

Upcoming Free Mobile COVID-19 Test Dates: 

Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) COVID-19 mobile testing team will continue January 12th-15th in Brownwood from 10 am to 4 pm at Gordon Wood Stadium located at 3206 Milam Drive.
