Brown County Sheriff’s Report – Dec. 14

On Thursday, Dec. 10 at approximately 9:30 a.m. Deputy Andre Smoot responded to a criminal mischief call. Once on scene, Smoot was advised by the complainant they located bullet holes in a few of the cars. CID was notified, arrived on scene, took photographs, and evidence was collected. A report was completed.

On Friday, Dec. 11 at 10:11 p.m. Corporal Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to Hwy 183 N. This was in regards to trespassing. Upon arrival, Bastardo spoke with an individual who said his neighbor, who has a trespass warning for his residence, came to the residence and requested his property. After further investigation, information was gathered and a report was taken. 

On Friday, Dec. 11 deputies were dispatched to an address on FM 2525. This was in regards to a suspicious vehicle. Contact was made with the driver, who was asleep. After investigation the subject was arrested for Public Intoxication. A report has been made.

On Saturday, Dec. 12 at approximately 1:20 p.m. Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to CR 334 in Blanket. This was in reference to a burglary report and investigation.

On Saturday, Dec. 12 at 4:19 p.m. Corporal Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to Blarney Dr. This was in regards to a burglary. Upon arrival, Bastardo spoke with an individual who believed her neighbors’ workshop had been broken into. After further investigation, the property owner was located and an information report was taken.

On Saturday, Dec. 12 at 5:25 p.m. Deputy Carlyle James Gover, spoke to the complainant on the phone about property missing from his residence. After further investigation a report was made.

On Saturday, Dec. 12 at approximately 10:01 p.m. Deputy Carlyle James Gover, along with other deputies, was dispatched in reference to a domestic disturbance. After further investigation, an individual was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Injury-Family Violence.

On Saturday, Dec. 12 Deputy Toby Mathis responded to CR 381. This was for a report of a burglary not in progress. Mathis spoke with an individual about several items missing from the building she was using as storage. Information was gathered and a report was made.
