The Brownwood JV Lions and Lady Lions notched an 18-5 victory over Gatesville in Tuesday tennis action.

Notching wins for Brownwood were the girls doubles teams of No. 1 Mya Salazar and Lyric Shaw (8-5 over Edmond and Collins), No. 2 Emma Delgado and Leila Rivera (8-6 over Jimenez and Land) and No. 3 Sonora Petty and Sabre Holdar (8-4 over Williford and Rocha).

Picking up doubles wins for the boys were No. 2 Gage Greer and Brogan Hagood (8-4 over Walters and Hutts), No. 3 Austin Devoll and Thomas Stewardson (8-2 over Chavez and Zacha), and No. 4 Chris Blair and Logan Baker (8-4 over Villarreal and Stevens).

For the Lady Lions, singles victories were claimed by No. 3 Rivera (8-0 over Jimenez), No. 4 Delgado (8-6 over Land), No. 5 Petty (8-4 over Williford) and No. 6 Holdar (8-5 over Rocha).

Lions earning singles triumphs included No. 1 River Prado (8-4 over Strange), No. 3 Greer (8-4 over Walters), No. 4 Hagood (8-2 over Hutts), No. 5 Devoll (8-0 over Zacha), No. 6 Stewardson (8-1 over Chavez), No. 7 Blair (8-1 over Stevens), No. 8 Baker (8-4 over Villarreal), and No. 9 Christian Carrere (8-0 over Tawater).
