In an effort to promote the safety of students, personnel and surrounding communities, Howard Payne University’s Office of Career Services will not host a face-to-face part-time job and internship fair during the 2020 fall semester. Instead, career services personnel will focus on connecting employers with qualified students on an individual basis.

Tammy Arreola, HPU career services coordinator, stated that the start of the fall semester and the return of students to campus represents an excellent hiring opportunity for local employers.

“Many of our students will be in search of work or internship opportunities early in the semester,” said Tammy Arreola, HPU career services coordinator. “We will be heavily marketing position openings during the first two weeks of classes in an effort to aid students in securing work and employers in filling open positions. As always, any time any employer has an opening, whether it is full time, part time or an internship, we are happy to share that information with students.”

Local businesses and organizations that have part-time or internship positions available are encouraged to e-mail the details to [email protected]. For more information, please contact the HPU Office of Career Services at 325-649-8630.

For more information about HPU, visit www.hputx.edu, or contact HPU’s Office of Admission at 325-649-8020 or by e-mail at [email protected].
