UPDATE – According to the Texas A&M Forest Service, as of Friday night, the Mays Fire in San Saba and McCulloch counties was 90% contained. It has burned 9, 813 acres. According to the Lone Star Incident Management Team, the fire was started by a vehicle pulling off into tall grass and the catalytic converter catching the grass on fire.
