A graveside funeral service for Johnny Wayne Woods, age 76, of Lake Brownwood, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 24, 2020 at the May Cemetery, with John Tunnell officiating.  The funeral procession will depart Heartland Funeral Home at 1:40 PM for the cemetery.

Johnny passed from this life on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 in an Abilene hospital.

Johnny Wayne Woods was born on April 17, 1944 in Brownwood to Roy Henry and Zella Mae (West) Woods.  He was a graduate of May High School.  Johnny worked for many years in the oil field and was a resident of Artesia, New Mexico for 40 years.  Johnny married Charlie Ann Bostick on June 30, 2017.  Johnny and Charlie Ann quickly moved back “home” to Brown County.  He was a member of the May First Baptist Church and the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA) Chapter in Brownwood.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Charlie Ann Woods of Lake Brownwood; two daughters, Denise Bradley of South Carolina and Sheila Haynes of Artesia, sons, Johnny Wayne Woods, Jr. of Artesia, Joe Michael Anderson of Brownwood, Kelly Anderson of Azle, Cody John Anderson of Livingston; grandchildren, Lance Bradley, Morgan Bradley, C.J. McNiel and twin-granddaughters, Allie and Kattie Anderson.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Gaylon Woods and a sister, Verva McGuiness.
