Mobile COVID-19 testing site dates confirmed for Brownwood

Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) COVID-19 mobile testing team has confirmed four testing dates for Brownwood. 

​Mobile testing will be offered the next four consecutive weeks on the following dates: 

* WEDNESDAY, JULY 22, 2020

* WEDNESDAY, JULY 29, 2020

* WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 5, 2020

* WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 12, 2020

Each mobile testing will be from 10 am to 4 pm at the Coggin Intermediate School gym parking lot located at 800 Rogan Street. Testing is done through a partnership of the Texas National Guard, Texas Health and Human Services, and the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM).

Please note that all who desire to be tested no symptoms are required, tests will not be done for anyone under 5 years of age. Do not eat or drink for 20 minutes before being tested.

Registration opens approximately 24 hours to the site opening. Please register in advance online at www.Tdem.texas.gov, and then click “COVID 19 Testing Locations” which will pull up an interactive map. Brownwood, Texas site registration information will appear once registration has opened. To be guaranteed a test advanced registration is required, however you may register on-site.

Residents can also view up-to-date COVID-19 information on the City of Brownwood website at www.brownwoodtexas.gov/health.

Other COVID-19 testing options are still available in the area. Residents should contact their primary care physicians for options. The City of Brownwood, Brownwood/Brown County Health Department, Brownwood Regional Medical Center, Texas Department of State and Health Services, and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention are closely working together to provide the community with the best health practices.
