Brownwood News – A luncheon to express appreciation for area law enforcement officers was held today at the Law Enforcement Center in Brownwood.

The free lunch for the officers was a project of the North Lake Community Church, pastored by Ron Keener, along with Chipster’s BBQ, who did the cooking, and United Supermarkets, which provided some of the groceries.  All Brown County law enforcement officers  were invited to the event.

Keener commented:  “We decided it was an appropriate time, on the last day of the month, to say positive things to our law enforcement officers here in Brown County.  Everyone who is a law enforcement officer of any kind in Brown County has been invited.  It is our way of saying we love you, we appreciate you, we stand with you, we believe in you, you’re not bad people.  All we’ve seen over these last 30 days is negative, negative, negative.  We want to be positive, positive, positive to our officers, and say that you have a lot of support in the community.”
