Brown County Sheriff’s Report

The following calls were responded to by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.

On Tuesday, June 23, Deputy Hammonds took a call of a dog bite which was called into the sheriff’s office by Comanche County Medical Center.

On Thursday, June 25, Lt. Pete Bastardo responded to 10 Bluebonnet Lane in regards to burglary of a motor vehicle.  A man is being listed as a suspect.

On Wednesday, June 24, Deputy Saydie Hammonds received a call about credit card abuse.  A report was made.

On June 25, Deputy Toby Mathis responded to a report of a hit and run accident on County Road 292 in Early.  A man reported his neighbor’s fence line had been damaged from a vehicle.  Information was gathered and a report was made.

On Saturday, June 27, at approximately 15:31, Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to an address on Walnut Street in Brownwood.  This was in reference to an animal cruelty report and investigation.

On Sunday, June 28, at approximately 16:20, Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to West Main Blvd in reference to an assault report and investigation.

On Monday, June 29, Deputy Simpson took a report from a walk-in at the law enforcement center.  This was in regards to a theft of a cell phone on Highway 279.  The victim advised an unknown subject had stolen her phone.  A report was made.
