Brownwood News – There was no new information available as of Wednesday, June 24, concerning a body found Sunday night, June 21, in the Pecan Bayou in Brownwood.  According to James Stroope, Chief Deputy of Enforcement for the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, they are still awaiting autopsy results from the Travis County Medical Examiner.  The deceased was discovered under a bridge near the intersection of FM 2525 and CC Woodson Road.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, the deceased is believed to be a male in his mid to late 50’s who resided near the bridge on CC Woodson Road.  The matter is still an ongoing investigation with no further information available at this time.
