Betty Walters, 80

Funeral services for Betty Walters, age 80, of Gatesville, formerly of Brownwood, will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 23, 2020 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Zephyr Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

Mrs. Walters passed from this life on Friday, June 19, 2020 in Gatesville.

Betty Louise Netherton was born on May 7, 1940 in Brownwood to Della Alberta (Norwood) and Fred Roy Netherton, Sr.  She married James Allen Walters on November 16, 1984 in Brownwood.  Betty was a member of Harvest Time Tabernacle. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her children, Sharon Stewart of Gatesville, Sheila Woodcock and husband Ricky of Brownwood, Charlie Walters and wife Gwen of Brownwood, Ronnie Walters and wife Bonnie of Henderson, Sondra Gober and husband Bud of San Marcos, Chrishawna Renea Morrow and husband Mike of Stephenville, Tammy Galloway, Douglas Walters and Donnie Walters; 31 grandchildren and multiple great and great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Bonnie Walters and brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Judy Walters.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Allen Walters, daughter, Pam Woodcock Martin, two sons, Garland Glenn Aaron, Bubba Walters; brother, Fred Netherton, Jr., sister, Joella Gilbert, sons-in-law, Tim Woodcock, John Stewart, and Jeff Morrow, sisters-in-law, Wanda Jean Netherton and Lucille Cumba, two grandchildren, Ashley Walters and Christopher Galloway, and great-grandchildren, Jazmyn R. Barron, Breatlyn Lee and Jonathan Taylor.

The family would like to thank Solaris Hospice for the wonderful care you gave our beloved mother.
