Brownwood News – Hendrick Surgery Center of Brownwood is having a Box Fan and Food Drive from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm Friday, July 19. You can donate fans and non-perishable food, such as peanut butter and tuna, by taking the items to Hendrick Surgery Center, 2401 Crockett Drive.

Members of the Brownwood Fire Department and staff of Hendrick Surgery Center will be there to unload your donation so you don’t even have to get out of the car, just use the circle drive.  “What we’re asking is donation of box fans and low-cost food, the biggest need is tuna and peanut butter, things easy to fix that don’t require a stove,” said Cathy Casey, Hendrick Surgery Center Manager.  “We are partnering with Hendrick Medical Plaza, Brownwood Fire Department, Central Texas Opportunities, Good Samaritan Ministries, Salvation Army of Brownwood and United Way of Brownwood,” said Casey.  Last year they collected 73 fans and are hoping for more this year.
