Dorothy Ellen (Eoff) Pinson

Graveside services for Dorothy Ellen (Eoff) Pinson, 91, of Early, Texas will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 6, at Eastlawn Memorial Park with Bro. Eddie Ailshie officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday at Heartland Funeral Home.  Mrs. Pinson passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017 at a local nursing home.

Mrs. Pinson was born on June 20, 1926 in Brown County, Texas to Joseph M. and Etta (Goats) Eoff and graduated from Blanket High School.  She married Audie Lee Pinson on November 17, 1945 and they spent 36 wonderful years together and raised their three sons.

Dorothy loved having her family around her. She spent much of her time sewing and embroidering and canning green beans grown in her garden.

Survivors include sons Lynn Pinson and wife Evelyn of Godley, Texas, Glynn Pinson and wife Carrolyn of Early, Texas and Audie Lee (Junior) Pinson, Jr. and wife Debbie of  Zephyr, Texas.  Grandchildren left behind to cherish her memory are Timothy Pinson and wife Leliei, Anthony Pinson, Audena (Pinson) Phillips and husband Kelly, Steven Pinson and wife Felicia, Bryan Pinson, Kenneth Willingham and wife Jennifer, Joshua Willingham and wife Sarah, Dawn (Willingham) Roethler and husband Ryan, Kelly Fairchild. Her sister, Wanda Wheeler of Brownwood and brother David Eoff of Paris, Texas are also left with fond memories of their sister.  She had 14 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Pinson was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Etta Eoff, husband Audie L. Pinson, Sisters Elva Carver and Alma Pearl Eoff, and brothers James A. Eoff and Herman Joe Eoff.

Memorial contributions can be made to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, Shriner Hospitals or a charity of choice.
