BMSDonatesToGSMDecember2015Brownwood Middle School boys’ athletic program recently held a food drive for Good Samaritan Ministries and it was a great success.

Several athletes from the Middle School Boys Program accompanied Coach McKillip and Coach Garcia to Brownwood’s Good Samaritan Ministries to donate the canned goods that were collected the past two weeks. The boys took part in a donation food drive during the home basketball games at the Middle School.

Community members, students, and players that donated to the cause were given a bag of popcorn as appreciation.

The young men were welcomed downtown by several of the workers and were invited to the back to watch the weigh in, a quick showing of the process, and for pictures. Over 100 pounds of canned goods were donated to Good Samaritan Ministries.

“The Middle School Boys Coaching staff is extremely proud of these young men,” said Coach Garcia. “We would also like to give thanks to all who participated.”

Pictured above are BMS athletes who helped with the food drive.  Below is a photo of the boys during their visit to Good Samaritan Ministries.
