CampbellFreda Loveta Campbell, 80, of Bangs Texas, passed away Monday July 27, 2015, in Brownwood, Texas. Funeral services, under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early, will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday July 30, 2015 at the Heartland Chapel in Early, TX. Interment will follow at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Christine Cemetery in Christine, TX. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday July 29 at the Heartland Funeral Home. Freda Loveta was born December 6, 1934, in Coleman County Texas, to Samuel Joseph and Matilda (Kincaid) Morrison. Following graduation from high school in Talpa, Texas, Loveta began college at Howard Payne in Brownwood, Texas. Upon graduation from Howard Payne as a teacher, she began her career as an educator at Forsan Schools near Big Springs, Texas. Loveta taught at numerous locations including Corpus Christi, Pleasanton, Sacramento and Mt Shasta, California.

Loveta married Harold Campbell May 27, 1961, in Crews, Texas. She was a volunteer in numerous capacities, the Bangs Food Pantry, teaching in Sunday School at the many churches they attended, and musical accompanist. Loveta was a member of Delta Kappa Gama and most recently the Concord Baptist Church. She loved sharing the story of Jesus with every neighbor kid (and parent) who was endeared to her kindness.

Loveta is survived by her husband of 54 years, Harold Campbell; son, Jon Campbell; granddaughter, McKayla Campbell; sister, Lavora Berger; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Paul and Ruby Campbell, Max and Carol Campbell, and George Campbell. She was preceded in death by daughter, Pam Campbell; parents, Samuel and Matilda Morrison; brother, Connie Morrison; sisters, Ouita Jo Foster and Louise Cecil.
