leapinglionThe public is invited to support 2015 Brownwood High School seniors and have a fun time running in the upcoming Coloring the Future Glow Run 5K.  All proceeds benefit 2015 Brownwood High School Project Graduation.

A glow run is a fun way of running a 5K with less focus on speed and more focus on a neon glow with friends.  Participants from all different ages, shapes, sizes and speeds will be bright and colorful by the end of the race.  Age divisions for the race are:  Male and Female, 10 & under, 11-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over.  Runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels are welcome and encouraged to participate in the glow run.

Organizers encourage participants to wear a white shirt (any white T-shirt will work or wear the t-shirt given with race registration).  Runners will finish covered in a glow that will glow in the black light zones and at the color party at the end of the run.

The run will be held at Riverside Park, located at 320 Riverside Drive in Brownwood, on Saturday, March 28 at 8:00 PM.  Runners check in for the race from 6:30 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.  The race begins at 8:00 p.m. and will be chip timed by Race Day Event Services.

Pre-Registration is $30 for those ages 17 and under and $35 for those 18 and above.  Registration on race day is an additional $5.  Registration includes a commemorative Color My Future t-shirt, Color My Future color pack given at the finish line, a glow necklace, and admission to the color party at the end of the race.  The registration deadline to be guaranteed a glow run t-shirt is March 21st.
