Funeral services for Diane Weedon, 79, of Brownwood, will be held at 11 am on Thursday, November 6, in the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brian Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Weedon Cemetery under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, November 5, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Weedon died on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Abilene Regional Medical Center.

Diane Derinda Taylor was born on August 1, 1935, in Chicago IL, to Harvey Taylor and Edna Johnson Taylor. Diane had worked for the Department of Human Resources before retiring and had lived in Brownwood since 1962, moving here from California. She loved tending her garden and watching her flowers grow and was an avid reader. Diane loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and hanging out with her two little sidekicks Rainbow and LuLu.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Monte Weedon of Brownwood; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a host of friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Weedon; parents, Harvey Taylor and Edna Johnson Taylor and a son, Lance Weedon.
