VFW Post 3278 and the Ladies Auxiliary presented donations Wednesday afternoon to local USDA officials to support the Feds Feeding Families program.

According to USDA Area Specialist Todd Powell, through the program federal employees support local food banks.  Funds received from the VFW and Ladies Auxiliary will be given to Good Samaritan Ministries.  Powell stated that the donation Wednesday will provide 1200 pounds of food to local families in need.

The funds were raised by the VFW and Ladies Auxiliary through their bingos and fish fry fundraisers according to Post Commander James Masters.
