Bangs Business Association will sponsor the Mayfest Parade at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 3rd.

The public is invited to the Bangs City Park to enjoy one of Bangs’ best parades ever, according to Mayfest officials.  There will be marching bands, police, fire trucks, classic cars, trick mowers, floats from church groups, civic groups, out of town floats, and of course 4-wheelers and horses.

The Grand Marshal this year is: Ken Fitzgerald, the man who originated the Mayfest Celebration idea some 20 years ago.

There is no charge to enter the parade, and organizers state those who wish to participate should simply go to the School Transportation Barn on Gantt Street in Bangs, Saturday morning before 9:30 a.m. to be placed in the parade line up.

The parade route will travel all the way down Fitzgerald Street, past the city park, and will continue on through Main Street in Bangs.

Organizers encourage everyone to bring the entire family and enjoy the Bangs Business Association’s annual Mayfest Parade.

For parade information contact: LaFreda Kilburn at 325-998-1567.
