Cross-county rivals came together for good at their Pink Out game Friday night, raising $8662.60 for local cancer patients.

Early and Bangs Cheerleaders, along with the Early Belles Dance Team worked together selling pink t-shirts and caps prior to and during their Friday night football game to raise funds for a donation to the Walker Cancer Center at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.  Their efforts raised $7662.60, which was increased by a generous donation of $1000 from Big Country Ford during the game.

Pictured above are the Early and Bangs Cheerleaders and the Belles, with students, school officials and Kurt Newton of Big Country Ford as the additional donation was presented at halftime.

Organizers state that many employees in the two districts have been touched by cancer in the past year, and they wanted to do their part to help fight back, and put together the “Pink Out” fundraiser.
