On Monday, May 6th, Brownwood Intermediate School held its annual “Rocket Day” event.  Sixth-grade students lined up on the BHS girls’ softball field and took turns igniting their rockets.

Students that placed 1st through 5th were awarded medals and 10 additional medals were handed out for “Outstanding Rockets.”

“The kids were excited,” said Brownwood Intermediate technology teacher, Catherine Lyon.  “They had a truly wonderful time and experience.”
