A two-vehicle accident in the 400 block of East Commerce Saturday afternoon slowed traffic while responders worked to clear the scene and checked for injuries.

A Dodge Durango struck the side of a Chevy work truck in front of the Value Lodge hotel around 2:10pm Saturday.  Scanner traffic indicated that two people were transported by Guardian EMS, but that could not be confirmed at the scene.

The Durango was towed from the scene with front-end damage.

Traffic was slowed for about 30 minutes while the scene was cleared.

Brownwood Police, Brownwood Fire Department, and Guardian EMS responded to the scene.  No other information was available Saturday afternoon.
