EasonMaudieLouMemorial services for Maudie Lou Eason, 88, of Brownwood , formerly of Bangs, will be held at 3 pm on Monday, April 9, in the Haven of Hope fellowship hall, at 2010 Belle Plain, with Pastor Brian Hall officiating. She was cremated under the direction Netherton Funeral Home and Cremations.

Mrs. Eason passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center .

Maudie Lou Swenson was born on September 18, 1923, in Bangs, to Stanley Swenson and Trudie Whaley Swenson. She was a lifelong resident of Brown County and had worked as a cook for many years at Bangs Nursing Home. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening in her spare time.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Marion Leon Eason, James Leslie Eason and Elizabeth Ann Kleman, all of Bangs, and Mary Jean Eason of Rockdale; and grandchildren, David L. Kleman and Jennifer Nicole Kleman. She is also survived by her sisters, Kathryn Fern Dingman, Bettye Loraine Ryan and numerous nieces, nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Henry Eason; brother, Holder A. Swenson and a sister, Johnnie Marion Phillips.
