GallegosMariaA Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the St. Mary’s Queen of Peace Catholic Church for Maria Gallegos, age 69, of Zephyr, Texas.  A Rosary will be recited 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Heartland Funeral Home.  Mrs. Gallegos passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Hendricks Medical Center in Abilene. 

Maria was born on November 15, 1942 in La Montesa Zacatecas, Mexico to Gregorio Narvaez and Marciana Hernandez. In April 1966 she was married to Bacilio Gallegos Sr. in San Felipe, GTO.  They had resided in Zephyr for the past 45 years.  She was beloved wife, mother and loving Nana 

Survivors:

Husband:         Bacilio Gallegos of Zephyr

Sons:               Bacilio Gallegos Jr. of Brownwood, Texas

                        Joe Gallegos of Zephyr

Daughters:       Eletizia (Tish) Gallegos of Zephyr

                        Louisa Gallegos-Parks of Fort Irwin, California

                        Janie Bell and husband Tommy of Early, Texas

Grandchildren:  Thomas and Timothy Bell of Early

                       Dustin and Alejandra Parks of Brownwood

Brothers:         Antonio Narvaez and wife Dora of San Marcus

                      Fredirico Narvaez and wife  Socorra and Anjel Narvaes of El Inojo, Zacatecas, Mexico

Sisters:             Isabel Narvaez and Consuelo Narvaez of El Inojo, Zacatecas, Mexico

Many Nieces and nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

She is going to be sorely missed.  She had a soft spot for children, animals and especially for flowers.  She didn’t mind lending a helping hand to everyone she met.
