perez_murielMuriel E. Curry Perez, age 86, of Early died Monday afternoon at Care Inc.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Early First Baptist Church with Bro. Eddie Ailshie officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rocky Creek Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early.

She was born March 31, 1925 in Brownwood the daughter of the late Oscar and Betsy Ellis Curry. She attended schools at Bangs. She married Martin B. Perez in Brownwood and he preceded her in death. She worked as a waitress for the Holiday Inn in Brownwood for over 25 years and had lived in Brownwood and Early most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Early.

She is survived by a brother, Lester Curry of Brownwood,

A Step-daughter – Dolores Ramirez and husband John of San Angelo

3 Step-sons – Martin Perez Jr. and wife Melinda of Abilene
Marcus Perez and wife Sandra of San Angelo
Johnny Perez and wife Ada of Duncanville

Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 brothers, Albert, Johnny, and Odis Curry and 2 Sisters, Imogene Wilburn and Kathryn Maxwell.
