soulesFuneral services for Hugh Mc Cia Soules, Jr. will be Wednesday November 30, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel Early, Texas, interment will follow at Hext Cemetery in Menard County, Texas. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Soules was born September 10, 1928 in Pyote, Texas to Hugh Soules, Sr. and Myrtle Wise Soules. He passed away Sunday November 27, 2011 at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center. His hobbies were carpentry, hunting and fishing. Hugh served his country for four years, three years in Japan and one year in the United States. On August 18, 1950 Hugh and Birdie Peterson were married in Brady, Texas.

He is survived by his wife of sixty one years Birdie Souls of Bangs, two sons H.M. Soules III and his wife Jada of Bastrop, Texas, Jim Soules and his wife Susan of Grandview, Texas, three sisters, Linda Gresham of Abilene, Texas, Sharon Soules of Bangs, Texas , and Patricia Mullins and her husband Scott of Brownwood, Texas.  He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchildren.

Hugh is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Chuck Soules, one sister Dorothy Morse, and a granddaughter Michelle Cherie Funderburg.
