The Brownwood Reunion Celebration will once again highlight heroes who serve in the “Honor a Hero Parade.”  The parade will take place Saturday, September 17th at 11:45am during the Brownwood Reunion Celebration.

All children are invited to sign up for the parade. Registration is free, and children are asked to dress in red, white and blue.

The event will be honor both past and present members of the military and other heroes such as friends, firemen, policemen, EMTs, mentors, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and others. These heroes are asked to be in uniform when applicable and please be at the bleachers in front of the drive-thru at Citizens National Bank at 11:30, or they may choose to march with the children in the parade.

Children are encouraged to have their own personal heroes march with them in the parade, and there is also a space on the registration form where each hero’s name can be written. Posters and t-shirts are allowed to show whom each child is honoring.

Registration will begin at 10:30 at the Citizens Bank drive thru area, and lineup for the parade will be at 11:30. The parade will start at 11:45.

The Boy Scouts will be presenting the flags and the Mighty Maroon Marching Band drum line leading the parade!

Feel free to print the form and complete it, or registration forms will be present prior to the parade during the Reunion. All registration forms should be turned in at the registration table the day of the parade.

The 11th annual Brownwood Reunion Celebration is a community-wide celebration featuring shows, competitions, arenas, music, food, vendors, and much more.   Thousands of visitors and residents attend the celebration each year taking place down Carnegie Street and side-streets from the Brownwood Coliseum to the Depot Civic and Cultural Center.   Thousands of volunteers help coordinate the event each year.
