Brownwood Takes First Place in Cross Country Invitational

The Brownwood High School boys cross country team took first place Saturday at the Hardin-Simmons Invitational in Abilene’s Sea Bee Park.

Brownwood’s Cameron McLaughlin secured first place in the boys’ 3 mile run with a time of 17.02 with Brownwood’s Dylan Person taking third with 17.53.

The BHS girls cross country team came in third led by Katy Jacobs in 7th place with a time of 13:20 in the 2 mile run and 10th place by Caitlyn Haynes with a time of 13:29.

The Brownwood Middle School also had a good showing Saturday with the 8th grade girls securing the first place team finish and the top three individual places in the meet.
