2011 Health Expo Set for Thursday

logoThe public is invited to attend the Health Expo 2011 and participate in free health informational screenings and seminars plus have a chance to visit with healthcare professionals.

It all takes place on Thursday, April 21 from 9am-3pm at the Brownwood Coliseum.  Everyone’s invited for a day filled with FREE health screenings and health information.

Educational presentations planned include:

  • 10am – Discussion – Personal Decisions about Organ & Tissue Transplant
  • 11am – Discussion – Personal Choices about Life Support Machine Options
  • 11:45am – Advances in Bone & Joint Replacements – Stephen Roberts, MD Orthopedics
  • 1pm – Hypertension – Blood Pressure Information – Henry Ejere, MD Internal Medicine

Screenings begin at 9am and include:

  • Glucose
  • Total Cholesterol
  • Pulse Oxygen
  • Grip Strength
  • Blood Pressure
  • Body Fat Composition
  • Dehydration Screening
  • Spinal Screening
  • Hearing Screenings

There will also be information about the Brownwood Regional Medical Center’s Hospitalists Program.

Be sure to sign up for Senior Circle (Benefits for those 50+) and Healthy Woman-(Education Resource for Women) while you are at the expo.

Immunization Information & Other Education Health Related Information will be available.  There will also be a used eye glasses drop off at the expo.

You won’t want to miss this great way to receive several health & wellness screenings FREE of charge and get an idea where you are in your health goals.  Come for the free screenings, the educational programs and receive answers to those questions that you may have.
