Funeral services for Glynn R. Scott, age 74, of Bangs will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, at Concord Baptist Church with Paul Blake officiating.  Interment will follow at Bangs Cemetery under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home & Cremations.  The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Mr. Scott died February 26, 2011 at a local nursing home.

Glynn was born April 29, 1936 in El Paso, Texas. He moved to Bangs in 1971, where he taught school until his retirement.  Glynn married Pam Reasoner on June 24, 1978 in Bangs.  He was an avid hunter and golfer.  He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Bangs Masonic Lodge.

Glynn is survived by his wife, Pam Scott of Bangs; son, Brandon Scott and fiancée, Elizabeth Foret of Slidell, Louisiana; granddaughter, Julie Foret; brother, William Scott of Mesa, Arizona; sister-in-law, LaFreda Kilburn and husband, Dean, of Bangs; father-in-law, Fred Reasoner of Bangs and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two nephews, Scotty Purcell and Willie Scott.
