VFW Post 3278 and the Ladies Auxiliary want to thank the community for supporting their efforts to raise money in their recent events to benefit a Christmas party that the organizations will hold for National Guard soldiers later this year.

Friday’s fish fry that they hosted raised over $1200 for the Christmas party fund.  With money raised through the recent rummage sale, more than $3000 total has been raised.

“The VFW & Ladies Auxiliary would like to say a huge ‘Thank You’ to Brownwood and the surrounding communities for their continued support of our fighting forces and in helping us to continue our mission to ‘Honor the Dead by Serving the Living,’” said Keith King, Commander of the Post.
