paradignschoolParadigm Accelerated Charter Schools (PACS) in Comanche, Early, Dublin, and Wallis recently entered a partnership agreement with Responsive Education Services (RES) of Lewisville, Texas.  RES currently has oversight of more than 40 charter campuses in Texas, and has an annual operational budget in excess of 41 million dollars.  The partnership enables RES to incorporate the PACS system and curriculum across Texas and in other states.  Dr. Ronald Johnson submitted his resignation as Chairman of the Board and Superintendent of the four Paradigm schools effective July 31, 2010 in order to apply his expertise with the RES organization.  The other PACS Board members, Dan Chapman, Mike Fritscher, Malcom Johnson, and Nancy Johnson also resigned after appointing RES Board members Dr. Daniel Maddalena, Dr. Earl Little, and Mr. Marvin Reynolds to the PACS Board of Trustees.

The partnership is a “win-win” situation for both organizations.  Many of the RES Premier High Schools implement an individualized learning system based on a manual designed and written by Dr. Johnson while he was Vice President of a large textbook publishing company located in Lewisville, Texas.  All of the RES Board members and many RES administrative staff in Lewisville were previously associated with Dr. and Mrs. Johnson when they lived in Lewisville.

The four PACS campuses will continue to operate under the Paradigm system and name, but under the Board and management of RES.  Dr. Johnson will operate from his office in Early, Texas, where he will continue his role as President of Paradigm Accelerated Curriculum with emphasis on expanding Paradigm products worldwide via web-based distance learning.  His new duties with RES include training, curriculum, expansion, and administration.  Mr. David Browder, currently PACS Business Manager, will continue to work from his Dublin office.  His duties with RES will include distance learning, facility compliance, and business liaison between PACS and RES.  Mr. Darren Browder will serve as an administrative liaison coordinator between RES and PACS.  He previously served as Campus Administrator of the Dublin PACS campus, and currently works with RES as an administrator.
