The Brownwood Lady Lions softball team defeated the Seminole Maidens on Friday night to win the Region 1-3A Area one game playoff round with a score of 2-1.
This victory takes the Lady Lions to a 18-8 record on the season and marks the 13th straight win for the team. This win locks in their spot for the Region 1-3A quarterfinal game next weekend.
The Lady Lions will play the winner of the Abilene Wylie vs. Clint matchup also happening this weekend. Wylie lost the first game, and game two is scheduled to be played on Saturday. Time and location of Brownwood’s quarterfinal game is yet to be determined.
