The American Southwest Conference today announced its baseball players of the week and Howard Payne freshman Johnathan Morris was named ASC West Division Pitcher of the Week.

Howard Payne freshman right-hander Jonathan Morris (Granbury, TX / GHS) picked up the win against East Texas Baptist by tossing seven innings of three-hit ball with six strikeouts.
Morris allowed just one unearned run and did not walk a batter in the 13-2 game.
