The Brownwood Lions varsity baseball team spent most of the weekend in the Fredericksburg baseball tournament.
The Lions started strong by beating Bandera 5-1 on Thursday and then defeating Burnet 14-8 on Friday. The Lions dropped their next game on Friday against Midland Christian 7-1. Saturday wrapped up the tournament with a 6-6 tie with Llano.
The Lions go 2-2-1 overall for the season. The Lions were schedule to play Abilene Cooper on Tuesday, but Cooper is postponing that game due to wet field conditions.
