Baseball: Brownwood 2-1-1 in Fredericksburg Tournament

brownwoodlionslogoThe Brownwood Lions varsity baseball team spent most of the weekend in the Fredericksburg baseball tournament.

The Lions started strong by beating Bandera 5-1 on Thursday and then defeating Burnet 14-8 on Friday.  The Lions dropped their next game on Friday against Midland Christian 7-1.   Saturday wrapped up the tournament with a 6-6 tie with Llano.

The Lions go 2-2-1 overall for the season. The Lions were schedule to play Abilene Cooper on Tuesday, but Cooper is postponing that game due to wet field conditions.

Brownwood stats for their final game in the Fredericksburg Tournament are as follows.

Brownwood Pitching Stats:

  • 1. Mason Parrish – 5 Innings / 4 Runs / 4 Hits / 1 Strikeout / 1 Walk
  • 2. Jesse Coppic – 2 Innings / 2 Runs / 2 Hits / 1 Strikeout / 3 Walks

Brownwood Offensive Stats:

  • 1. Levi Perez – 3 for 4 (2 Singles / 1 Double / 1 RBI / 2 Run Scored / 1 Stolen Base)
  • 2. Patrick Espinoza – 2 for 4 (2 Singles / 1 RBI / 1 Run Scored / 1 Walk)
  • 3. Vance McShan – 1 for 4 ( Single / RBI)
  • 4. James Crow – 1 for 3 (Single / RBI)
  • 5. Cameron Chisholm –  2 for 4 (2 Singles  / 1 RBI / 1 Run Scored)
  • 6. Tyler Edwards  – 1 for 2 (Single / Run Scored / 2 Walks)
  • 7. Josh Fleming – 1 for 2 (Single / Run Scored / 2 Walks)
  • 8. Dillon Ellis – 1 for 2 ( Single / RBI / Walk)
