The Howard Payne women’s tennis team fell 3-6 in a non-conference match to visiting Kansas Wesleyan University Tuesday afternoon.

The Lady Jackets won two of the three doubles matches to lead 2-1 going into singles play. The second doubles win was a 9-8 tie break victory for Emilee Stephens and Sam Guerrero.

Howard Payne was only able to take the #6 singles match. Emilee Stephens defeated Eleda Adams 6-0, 6-0. Lillie Davis was the only other Lady Jacket to take a set from KWU losing 2-6, 6-0, 6-0. The Lady Jackets will play next on Friday at home versus conference opponent Hardin-Simmons University.
